Watch out for that mirror!

Always in my mind, i will be thinking about how lowly or dumb i really am despite of being nurtured under the same roof with the stupendously smart MENSA wanna-bes. Being the black sheep of the batch often compels everyone to entitle me as the dumbass, making me inferior even at things i can do pretty well for someone like me.

HOWEVER, there are times i have been misleaded by the rare compliments i acquire. Compliments are pride magnets, a dose of it is enough to make you charading around like a fool. My pride hasn't brought me to such extend so far, but i am still worried that i still find compliments appealing. It did build my self-esteem though and also, to trust myself better; that i am not entirely hopeless and useless.

But then again, when i begin to walk off that road and walk around with a lump on my nose, i believed that I do have a pointed nose. Later on, i would walk straight to the mirror to see if that is true and only to find that it was the bird droppings that created the illusion. That is my situation, to be frank.

Certainly, i managed to learn a thing or two about being humble all the time even though i have the probability of being good at something. Thank God for placing that mirror on the way i was prancing around!
